A Summer Science Intern Program Designed to
Promote Diversity in Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Woods Hole

The Woods Hole Partnership Educational Program (PEP) is designed primarily for college students (second semester sophomores, juniors or seniors) who want to spend a summer gaining practical experience in marine and environmental science. The program consists of a four-week course in the sea-side village of Woods Hole, followed by six-to-eight week research projects.

PEP is a new program being launching in 2009 by a consortium of institutions that are committed to increasing diversity in the Woods Hole science community.

PEP is a project of the Woods Hole Diversity Initiative, a multi-institutional effort to promote diversity in the
Woods Hole science community. Students who participate must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
